Talking about micro-blogging system , the first Candidate rush in your sight must be Twitter ! Just as we know , Twitter is not Open source to public . So there is no possible for us to building Micro blog system with Twitter ‘s Code .
However , there is no impossible in Open Source World ! And also thanks to those Open Source Workers , We have materials to learn .
While , these days , I was busy finding a reliable AD Sponsors so that I can keep maintaining my Blog – aeBeta . And also , I am building a website for my Dormitory ( We are going to graduate ! ) .
So I think a Micro Blog is a good choice for me to communicate rather than the traditional Blogging system . Although I was still testing my Web Host . But I should also find out a solution for the microblog program itself .

Twoorl is an open source Twitter clone written in Erlang using the ErlyWeb framework. But it seems that Twoorl has not been updated any more , so I do not recommend you to have a Try . But if you just wanna it , Go here to Get its source code http://code.google.com/p/twoorl/downloads/list
5.Jaiku
Jaiku is based on Python . In 2007 , Google has acquired it , but due to some reasons , Google decided to give up maintaining the code in 2009. Now Jaiku has been Open Source One ! And You can get its code here: Jaiku ，via SVN (such as Subversion).
6.Sweetter
Sweetter , as it sounds , is a quite Twitter-like program . You can have a simple Poll on it and it is written with Python . You can access its Source Code here : https://launchpad.net/sweetter
7.Jisko
Jisko is written by a programmer from Spanish and integrated with AJAX .Jisko is also based on PHP + MySQL.You can get its Codes from http://jisko.org/ with SVN .
